jFLOWER SHOW, AT EALING, The February meeting of the Ealing Women’s Institute was held in the Ashburton Domain, Mrs Davis presiding. Two new members were elected. Final arrangements were made for the Flower Show and Garden. Party. After the business was concluded, a most interesting hour was spent inspecting the flower gardens. During afternoon tea Mrs Giddings proposed, and Mrs McKenzie seconded, a vote of thanks to the Curator (Mr Leigh) for his talk on flowers and gardening. Later in the week the annual flower show and garden party was held in Mrs 11. C. B. Withell’s garden. Mr A. J. Millichamp (Tinwald) judged the flowers. His awards were:— Antirrhinums, Mrs Alcßae 1. Gladoli: Miss F. Tait 1. Perennial Phlox: Airs Donaldson 1. Stocks: Airs Alcßae 1, Aliss Helen McKenzie 2. Petunias: Airs Giddings 1 and 2. Any other flower: Airs Giddings 1, Airs Withell 2.
