ARMED FORCE IN IRELAND. (United Press Association —Copyright.) LONDON, March 2. There was Sufficient evidence to prove that Ireland’s internal peace would not last unless armed force were put down, declared the Minister for Justice (Mr Ruttledge) in the Dai] during the second reading of the Offences Against the State Bill. He added: “An armed body exists, claiming itself to be the rightful Government. AYo know it possesses all the necessary war material and arms and has been training, organising and receiving from outside sources funds which are being applied to militant purposes. All the members' of the Dail recently received a- document warning them of the danger of civil war if the Bill was passed. The Government will he lacking in its duty if it does not face up to the position.”
