PARIS, March 3. General Franco has guaranteed that shipments of food to Republican Spain will not he bombed or otherwise affected by Nationalist operations, according to an announcement by the Commission for Assistance to child Refugees. The Commission was asked to notify the movements of ships. NO TAX ON CHURCH PROPERTY. A message from Burgos reports that the Spanish Cabinet has re-established the law exempting all Church property from taxation. APPEAL TO NEW ZEALAND. CHILDREN IN FRANCE. WELLINGTON, March 3. A cabled appeal for immediate aid for 2,000,000 Spanish children in France has been [received from Paris by the secretary of the Wellington section of the Spanish Medical Aid Committee. “The war is continuing, and expeditions are arriving in spite of the French and British recognition of General Franco,” the message states. “Our responsibilities are greater, and our power to save lives undiminished. We call for new and more vigorous efforts for funds to purchase milk and other food to relieve suffering ana distress.”
