DISTURBANCE AT SYDNEY. (United Press Association—Copyright.). SYDNEY, December 2. The Federal Government’s opening of a recruiting rally in Martin place during the lunch-hour to-dav was marked by angry scenes in which lending Communists took part while they were distributing their own handbills, which a majority of the crowd regarded as offensive.
Heated arguments occurred and Communist speakers wore howled down. The police were compelled to disperse noisy groups.
