The Minister for Public Works (the Hon. R-. Semple) paid a brief visit to Ashburton this morning and later inspected portions of the irrigation works in the county.
Mr R. S. Wilkie, of Ashburton, has passed the second professional examination for the degree of Bachelor Surgery.
The appointment of Mr Leonard Frederick Robins, as a producers’ representative on tlie New Zealand Honev Control Board is gazetted.
Mr A. J. Millichamp has been appointed to represent the Ashburton Acclimatisation Society at the annual conference of the South Island Acclimatisation Societies’ Association which will be held at Christchurch next Friday.
