THE ASHBURTON ASSOCIATION. APPOINTMENT OF OFFICIALS. A meeting of the general committee of the Ashburton Boxing Association was held last evening, the President (Mr H. D. Johnston) presiding. The secretary (Mr G. Y. Eurby) reported that the articles for the prates sional contest between Johnnie Foster. Canada, and Los Adams, Ashburton, to take place at the Radiant Hail m xt Friday night, had been signed and the permit obtained. The following officials were appointed :—■ Referees, Mr T. Fairlia.ll, pvolessonal, Mr H. I). Johnston, amateur; judges, Messrs J. and A. N. Grigg. J. B. Cullen, D. Smith. F. Crum; announcer, Mr F. Porter; lime-keepers, Messrs F. Mobil Hard, and G. Bowman; official seconds, R. Hawke and I>. Wellman; lion sc stewards, J. Weir, F. Porter and D. Smith.
