AWARD OF €1895 DAMAGES. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, November 29. After a retirement of a little, more than an bom:, flic jury in the. Supreme Court, to-day roturnd a verdict for the plaintiff in the action in which damages amounting to £2.3-1 d were claimed on behalf of a hoy of eight, for injuries received when he was knocked down by a motor-cycle in Newtown nearly two years ago. The jury awarded L'ld special damages and £IB6O general damages.
Plaintiff was Gordon Albert Stool, who sued, through his father, Albert Edward Steel, and the defendant was Desmond Claire Williams, an upholsterer. The Chief Justice (Sir Aliehael Afyers) presided over the ease, which lasted two da vs.
