ATr R. J. Low (Highbank) was judge of English Loioesters, Romney Marshes and Sonthdowns at the Little River Show on Saturday.

Mr Arthur Whiting, of Mayfield, who has been on the local Post Office staff for four and a. half years, first as message boy, and then as exchange clerk, left on Friday to take up similar duties at Barfield. Ho was presented by the Postmaster ('Mr G. Kay), on behalf of the members of the staff with a pocket wallet, as a. token of the goodwill that has always existed between them. Aliv J. W. Drew, formerly of Ward, North Canterbury, has recently been addled to the staff as cadet, on promotion.
