COMMERCIAL MEN ANXIOUS. (United Press Association —Copyright.) LONDON, November 17. Surveying Australian and New Zealand conditions at the annual meeting of Dalgety and Company, Ltd., the chairman (the Hon. Edmund Parker), said that while lie was not pessimistic, be considered that the Commonwealth was not as prosperous as last year, and was likely to experience the natural sequence of reduced spending power. The New Zealand outlook was obscured by the forward policy of the Government, which was determined cn social schemes costing £20,000,000. He questioned whether the population of 1,500,000 could stand the strain, which was already causing anxiety.
