WIDE PUBLICITY IN ROME. (Received This Day, 9.50 a.m.) ROME, November 17. The press devotes entire pages to the Anglo-Italian Pact. DECLARATION SIGNED IN ROME. LONDON, November 16. The British Ambassador to Rome (Earl Perth) presented to the Italian Foreign Minister (Count Ciano) his new credentials addressed to King Victor Emmanual as King of Italy and Emperor of Abyssinia. •* Lord Perth and Count Ciano later signed a declaration putting into effect the British-]talian agreement. Lord Perth also addressed a note to the Egyptian Charge d’Affaires in Rome referring to Notes about Lake Tsana and the Suez Canal, which he had addressed to Mustapha el Sadek Bey last April, and informing him of the bringing into effect of the Rome agreement.
