COALMINERS IDLE

TROUBLE AT STATE COLLIERIES. OVER 300 MEN AFFECTED. TWO WEST COAST UNDERTAKINGS (Per Precs Association.) GREYMOUTH, This Day. The Liverpool State Coal-mine was idle to-day, 220 men being affected. Trouble arose when two rope boys were not allowed to work as a- penalty for refusing to work on Friday. The men refused to work unless the boys were allowed to do so.

The James Mine was also idle, 100 men being affected. Two miners accepted work at truck-repairing last week, and the truckers this morning refused to work until the miners were taken off truck-repairing.
