FEDERAL POSTMASTER-GENERAL COMPANIES AND CONTRACTS, RECONSTRUCTION MAY FOLLOW. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Recciyed This Day, 10.35 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Senator A. J. McLaclilan’s resignation from the position of PostmasterGeneral, which was announced last night, causing a sensation, may greatly influence Mr Lyons’ plans for the reconstruction of the Cabinet.
Mr Lyons announced that Mr McLachlan’s resignation had been accepted. Mr McLachlan’s action was prompted by a series-of questions tabled by Mr George Lawson, Labour Senator for Queensland,.dealing with Mr McLachlan’s association with directorates of companies which enter into contracts with tho Postal Department.
