McLaclilan’s resignation from the position of PostmasterGeneral, which was announced last night, causing a sensation, may greatly influence Mr Lyons’ plans for the reconstruction of the Cabinet.

Mr Lyons announced that Mr McLachlan’s resignation had been accepted. Mr McLachlan’s action was prompted by a series-of questions tabled by Mr George Lawson, Labour Senator for Queensland,.dealing with Mr McLachlan’s association with directorates of companies which enter into contracts with tho Postal Department.
