Those exercising their votes for the first time have naturally a bigger stake in New Zealand’s future than any other section of the voting public* For the information of new voters, here is a graph showing the mounting Continuance sentiment and the corresponding decline in prohibition sentiment in New Zealand. The trend of opinion is obvious, due to the following reasons t 1* New Zealand must keep out prohibition which has so thoroughly demonstrated its calamitous results both economically and morally. 2. New Zealand cannot afford to squander millions to provide additional proof of an acknowledged universal failure. 3* Under Continuance the licensed trade contributes very substantially to the revenue and creates legitimate employment for thousands. 4# Continuance is a vital necessity for the continued growth of our richly potential tourist industry. 1 5 # America gave prohibition a thorough trial, lasting fourteen years and costing billions of dollars. Repeal was earned by the biggest majority ever recorded on any question ■ 6« All the world has rejected prohibition. New Zealand has done so on every occasion, each time more emphatically than the last.
