CROWD’S GREETING IN PARK. HUSBAND’S SUCCESS PRAISED. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, September 30. Remarkable scenes occurred in Downing Street shortly after noon, when Mrs Chamberlain left her house for a walk in the park. An immense crowd had assembled, and time after time cheered for her. Mrs Chamberlain smilingly waved her acknowledgements, but the brow'd: pressed closer and as she proceeded many of them stepped forward and shook hands and congratulated her on her husband’s successful mission.— British Official Wireless. GENERAL DEMOBILISATION. MR CHAMBERLAIN’S HOPES. (Received This Day, 11.35 a.m.) MUNICH, September 30. In response to a question regarding general demobilisation, Mr Chamberlain said: “The question was not discussed, but I think—l hope—there will be measures connected with this question discussed everywhere. We hope it will come practically immediately. I take this question for granted.” t
