The Foreign Office has issued the following statement: “Poland is determined to settle the conflict with Czechoslovakia independently. The Czech answer to the Polish Note will be handed over at Warsaw to-night. Should the answer not agree to immediate cession of the disputed territory, Poland, in the course of the evening, will resort to measures which may have most far-reaching consequences. The responsibility will be Prague’s.” FRONTIER TENSION INCREASED. TESCHEN MAY BE OCCUPIED. (Received This Day, 9.40 a.m.) 1 LONDON, Sept. 30. The Warsaw correspondent of the British United Press, sayb that tension along frontier has increased. It is possible that should the answer be unsatisfactory, Poland will occupy Teschen.
