MUSICAL RECITAL.

PUPILS GIVE EVENING. An enjoyable musical evening was given by the jpupils of Mrs Newton Jones to their parents and friends on Wednesday evening at Lewitt’s reception rooms. The programme consisting of piano solos, trios, duets for two pianos and songs. Mr L. Prebble made reference to the pleasure derived from listening to good music and spoke in encouragement of the performers, especially beginners, many of whom showed talent. Those assisting were: Mesdames Hosken and Baker, Misses Manson, M. Luscombe, E, Scott, V. Anderson, E. Jones, I. Shierlaw, G. Haack, J. Thomas, A. Prebble, A. Anderson, G. Coldicott, G. Holmes, D. Welsh, D. McGregor, S. Tilley, M. Macklan J. Smitheram, F. Scott, N. Jones, Masters Healey, Corbett, Coldicott, A. Welsh.
