Mr L. McElliinney, of the clerical staff of the Ashburton Alagistrate’s Court, will leave Ashburton shortly for Waimate, where he will relieve at the Court for a. month.
Airs F. W. Watt has been appointed to succeed Airs D. Heenan, who resigned as president of the Ashburton Croquet Club because of ill-health.
Captain Wesley Simpson, of Wellington, who has been assisting in the Ashburton Salvation Ajrmv Corps’ self-denial effort for the last twe weeks, will leave for the north tomorrow’
