PEARLING INCIDENT.
ARREST OF JAPANESE BOAT. JUDGE AWARDS DAMAGES. (Received This Day, 12.30 p.m.) DARWIN, Tliis Day. The Supreme Court upheld an appeal by the Japanese against the patrol launch Larrakia’s arrest of the pearling lugger Tokio Mam last year. Judge Wells awarded £I2OB damages against the Commonwealth Governmient and ordered the return of the lugger.
