FAREWELL SOCIAL.
PRESENTATION AT STAVELEY There was n large attendance in the Staveley Hall at a farewell function to Air and Airs A. R. Andrews, who are leaving the district. The chairman (Mr S. Goldsmith) expressed regret at the departure of Air and Mrs Andrews, who bad interested themselves in the activities of the district. He presented them with a substantial cheque. Mrs AY. Normam. spoke for the Women’s Institute and presented a bouquet to All's Andrews. Air S. Shimmins, for tin* Staveley Defence Rifle Club, presented Air Andrews with a silver mounted walking stick and Mrs Andrews with a. crystal vase. Air Gndd spoke for the (returned soldiers. Items were given bv Miss Alma Smith Miss K. Hannan. Messrs A. AY. Russell and Iv. AYalkcr. Music for a dance was played by Mrs Shimmins. Mrs McLean. Ali-s Goodrich, and Aliss AYilson. Air R. Noll was master of ceremonies.
