BAND CONTEST.

FOUR MORE PIPE ENTRIES. Four more pipe bauds have entered for the Canterbury Provincial Bands’ Contest to he held in Temuka next month. This brings the total entries up to 12—three brass, seven pipe, and two harmonica bands. The additional entries are from the City of Christchurch Pipe Band, the Timaru Highland Pipe Band, the Waimate Highland Band, and the Mothvcn Pipe Band. Further entries are expected in the brass and harmonica sections.
