A SUCCESSFUL OPERATION. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Daw 12.50 p.m.) NEW YORK, Sept. 11. A message from Rochester states that with his mother and wife accompanying him to the operating room, and the President waiting anxiously in an ante-room, James Roosevelt was successfully operated on for non-malig-nant ulcer of the stomach. The President’s personal physician watched the operation, which was performed by Howard Grey, leading surgeon at the Mayo clinic. He reported that as far as he could tell .the operation was satisfactory.
