NEW POSTMASTER.

MR CLARK FOR CHRISTCHURCH. (Per Press Association.) PAMRSTON N., September 10. Mr (1. Clark, Chief Postmaster at Palmerston North, is being transferred to a similar position in Christchurch, taking over his duties there on October 1. He will replace Mr F. W. Furby, now retiring on superannuation, who underwent a similar transfer from Palmerston North some years ago. Mr Clark has occupied his present position since January, 1937. Mr A. N. Wallace (Chief Postmaster at Nelson) will succeed Mr Clark at Palmerston North.

Mr Clark was Postmaster at Ashburton for several years, leaving here in March, 1930, to take charge of the Greymouth Post Office.
