SHEEP ATTACKED

SEVERAL KILLED BY DOGS. MANY OTHERS TORN ABOUT. TROUBLE IN THE ELGIN DISTRICT Grave concern is being felt- by farmers of the Elgin district as a result of two prominent sheep-owners having suffered losses of their stock through attacks hv dogs last- night. Several sheep, were killed by' the worriers, while many others were torn about, or otherwise molested. Idle farmers were able to catch one dog with little trouble, and followed another, which was found covered with blood. An effort was made to-dav to trace the other troublesome dogs.
