GORDON RICHARDS.
MAY RIDE IN AUSTRALIA. LONDON. August 22. England’s leading jockey, Gordon Richards, is delighted at the prospect of riding in Australia. Ho said so in an interview with a reporter. “I have not yet made out the full meaning of the message from the Victoria Amateur Turf Club,” Richards confessed. “It came in code, and I had to pass it on to someone to interpret for me. But nothing would please me more than to ride in Australia, and to see something of your riding style. “Of course, I feel pretty tired after nine months of riding here. I feel I need some kind of rest for the remaining three months of -the year.”
