METHODIST MISSION.

WORK IN SOLOMON ISLANDS. A largo audience gathered in the Willowby Church', when an illustrated, lecture was given on mission work in the Solomon Islands by the . Rev. A. H. Scrivin. The Rev. W. W. Avery presided. The pictures depicting various phases of the Methodist Mission work were taken by Mr Scrivin oil a recent visit to the islands, and his address dealt with the work and progress of the various stations during the last 3G years. Mr Scrivin gave another address nr tho. monthly meeting of the Methodist Women’s Missionary Auxiliary held on. Wednesday afternoon at tho residence of Mr \V. T. Lill. Mrs W. W. Avery presided. A duet, “Hold Thou My Hand,” was given by Misses Margaret Palmer and Etlichvymie Hayman. Afternoon tea was served by Mrs Harrison ana Miss Palmer and members of the Auxiliary. Greetings from Taranaki Street, Wellington Women’s Auxiliary were conveyed by Mrs A. S. Hayman, who also thanked Mr Scrivin.

Remits for the forthcoming Missionary Conference to he held in Feeding were dealt with. It was decided to hold the Island Mission lantern lecture by the Rev. W. W. Avery in September.
