The All-England lawn tennis championship tournament was continued at Wimbledon to-day. . The Australian. Miss 'Wynne, opened confidently against the veteran Madame Mathieu, the French champion. She won the first set easily, but then lost touch and became most erratic, Madame Mathieu eventually defeating her, 1-6, 6-2, 6-0. Details are:— Men’s Singles. Quarter-finals. Budge. Austin defeated EUmier (Switzerland) 6-2, 6-1, 6-2. Women’s Singles. Fourth Round. Mdme. Sperling (Germany) defeated Miss Lumb, 7-5, 6-1. Mdlle. Jedrezejowska (Poland) defeated, Miss Morphew, 6-3, 6-2. Mrs Fabyan (U.S.A.) defeated Miss Bundy (U.S.A.), 3-6, 6-3, 6-4. Miss H. Jacobs (U.’S.A.) defeated Miss Scriyen, 6-3, 6-0.
