OFFER TO BRADMAN.
SALARY OF £2500 PER ANNUM.
SPORTS INVESTORS’ SOCIETY. (United Presß Association —Copyright.' (Received This Day, 9.20 a.m.) LONDON, June 26. The “Daily Mirror” says that D. G. Bradman is considering an offer of £2500 a year from Sports Investors’ Society, Ltd., London, described as a firm of bookmakers, to whom Bradman pointed out that he is hound by his present contract.for .some.time,, .but the society is prepared to renew the offer at the expiration of his present engagement, and Bradman has promised to consider it.
The position is described as the chairmanship of the advisory committee to the society. Bradman, interviewed by a representative of the Australian Pi'ess Association, confirmed- the report that he had received certain correspondence concerning the offer. He regarded the whole affair as confidential and could not state when ho was likely to decide. He was not aware the position concerned 'bookmaking. >
