SAFE REMOVED.

THIEVES IN POST OFFICE. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 31. Bursting in the front door of the Glen Eden Post Office last night, thieves removed a safe weighing 3cwt, and containing mere than £2OO in cash, postal notes and stamps. The safe was later found on the Shaw road, three, miles distant. It had been blown open with gelignite and £75 in cash extracted. The postal notes and stamps were left in the safe. The theft was discovered this morning bv a. news boy. Residents heard an explosion in the early morning.
