WANGANUI GIRLS’ COLLEGE. (Per Press Association.) WANGANUI, This Day. Miss Marjorie E. Baker, M.A., has been appointed Principal of the Wanganui Girls’ College, succeeding Miss A. C. Tizard, M.A., who has resigned. Miss Baker is at present senior English mistress at the Timaru Girls’ High School. She is a graduate of Canterbury University College, where she obtained her B.A. degree in 1921, and M.A. the following year. She gained first-class honours in history, one of the only two candidates to obtain that distinction in the Dominion that year. Miss Baker has been on the staff of the Timaru High School for 13 years.
