THE POST OFFICE.
NEW BUILDING OR EXTENSION. FTNAL DECISION SHORTLY. In a message to the “Guardian,” Air LI. E. Herriing, ALP., who is at present in Wellington, says he has been looking at the perspective drawings, showing the various proposals for extension of the Post Office at Ashburton. The plans' all. show a most pleasing exterior view, one being of considerable architectural merit.
In view of the handicap imposed, the whole question of extension versus a new building is receiving close attention and a final decision will not long be delayed.
