BRITISH AMATEUR TOURNEY. (Received Tiiis Dav, 10.10 n.m.) LONDON. May 26. In the fifth round of the British amateur golf tournament at Troon H. W. Hattersley (Australia) beat Dr. William Anderson, 4- and 2 ; Thomson defeated AlcKinlev at the twentieth; Yates (America) defeated Robb, 6 and 5 ; Somerville (Canada) defeated AlcGregor, 4 and 2 ; Stevenson defeated Kocsis, 7 and 5; C. Ewing (Ireland) defeated Kyle, 2 and 1 ; Cyril Tolley defeated Roberts, 3 and 2; Crawley defeated Francis, 8 and 7. The winners are the . last eight': Hattersley played glorious golf in a storm and rain and the worst conditions imaginable, as the wind at times reached gale force.
