Mr Hector Bywater, writing in the “Daily Telegraph,’’ reveals that a description of five George V class battleships, which are being built, is published in the journal of the German Admiralty. The main armament is ten 14-inch guns. The weight of the broadside is 15,6001b5, which i‘> 40 per cent, below that of H.M.S. Nelson, but is compensated by more rapid fire. The weight of armour protection is 13,000 tons. The ships are mounting the most powerful anti-aircraft batteries afloat.
