AID TO BRITAIN.

RAISED GERMAN WARSHIPS. LONDON, April 28. Germany’s High Seas Fleet, rising from the bottom of the sea, is helping out British re-armament. ■Nineteen years ago German officers scuttled 72 vessels at Scapa Flow. Messrs. Cox and Danks, Limited, the salvage contractors, have raised 32 destroyers and light cruisers, four battle-cruisers and two battleships. For the last four years Metal Industries, Limited, has been concentrating on the larger ships raised—the Bayern, Koenig Albert, Kaisern, Friedrich der Grosso, and Prinz Regent Luitpold. At the breaking-up yards of Metal Industries, Limited, these ships have yielded 250,000 tons of steel, brass and copper, every ounce of which is gofng into rearmament. Cox and Danks, Limited, are beginning immediately with the salvaging of three othei* ships, including the 28,000 tonner Derflinger. Sometimes German tugs have been given the job of towing the raised warships from Scapa Flow to the breakingyards at Rosvth on the Firth of Forth.
