RESTRICTIONS IN ITALY. CIVIC RIGHTS CURTAILED. (United Press Association— Copyright.) LONDON, May 17. The Romo correspondent of “The Daily Mail” says: Italian bachelors, who are already subject to special taxation, are further penalised under a new decree, stating that henceforth no unmarried Italian or widower, without children, can be appointed as a. Mayor, assistant-Mayor, town councillor or chairman of any official committee. Any already holding such office must vacate their posts within two months.
