RESIGNATION OF OFFICERS. The resignations of the secretary (Mr R. T. Clarke) and the treasurer (Mr R. 0. Bathurst) who have held office for two years and will leave Ashburton shortly Were received with regret at the meeting of the executive of the Allenton Sports Club last evening, at which the president (Mr E. C. Bathurst) presided. Mr J. Lane accepted the secretary-
ship, and the president offered to act as treasurer until the end of the sea-
The resignation of Mr W. F.~Sotham who will leave for the North Island tomorrow, was also received with regret. The greens were reported to be in good order, particularly the tennis courts. Several minor repairs and improvements were authorised.
