ST. JAMES THEATRE. Featuring Arthur Tracy, “The Street Singer’s Return” will be shown finally this evening at the St. James Theatre. It has a good story into which has been woven several excellent song hits. The supporting programme is an entertaining one. Striking in theme, “The Man in Blue,” a Universal picture, will be shown at St. James Theatre to-morrow night and on Friday night, featuring Robert Wilcox, Nan Grey and Robert Ellis. A powerful screen story, it dramatically presents the proposition that faith and trust can be more vital factors in life than heredity, environment and training. The central characters are a policeman and his adopted son. The boy was the son of a burglar whom the officer killed in a gun battle. Although he shot in self-defence, the patrolman’s conscience hurts him and he takes the lad into his home to make amends. The boy grows into a fine young man with a promising future ahead of him, but all this is wiped out when the youth is wrongly accused of a. bank theft, which breeds suspicion and distrust between foster father and adoptecf'son. Disillusioned and further embittered, when he discovers that the cop killed his father, the young man turns crook, with his uncle’s connivance, and is sent to prison. The story whips to a spirited climax. With this film for the night sessions will he “The Revenge Rider,” featuring Tim McCoy, and this will be the’ big film attraction at the matinee on Friday. This will he a “back-to-school” matinee and will include the mouth organ finalists, an Oswald Rabbit cartoon and a lucky seat contest in which there will be 24 prizes
