THE District Electors' List is now being compiled, and all those possessing the necessary qualifications are requested to make application for enrolment on or before the 31st instant. In addition to those possessing a freehold, rating or occupier’s qualification all British subjects (either by birth or naturalisation in New Zealand) twenty-one years of age and over, who have resided in New Zealand for one year, and in 'the Borough of Ashburton for three months immediately prior to enrolment, are eligible for enrolment under the residential qualification. * Claim forms may be obtained at the Borough Office. Husbands or wives of ratepayers or freeholders should be particular To claim under their ratepayers’ or ireeholders’ qualification, and not under the residential qualification. The District Electors’ List will be open for inspection during Office hours from the Ist to 7th February, 1938. All objections under Section 9 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933 must be in writing in the prescribed form and be delivered at the Office of the Town Clerk, on or before the loth February, 1938.
