BOWLING.
THE DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIP. BULL (LINWOOL) WINS RINKS. (Per Press Association.) LUNEDIN, January 21. Play in the rinks championship at the Dominion howls tournament was under conditions that were almost ideal, and the title was won for the second time by the Linwood (Christchurch) skip, H. Wilson. The other members of hit rink were S. J. Sned, don, F. Redpath, and P. Munn. ■ Wilson began the day with two “lives,” but lost the first to L. J. Bull (Hawera) in the morning. In the afternoon Wilson played brilliant bowls to beat D. H. Thomson in the semifinal ,and reproduced that form to score a runaway win in the final and have liis revenge against Bull. The score was 27 points to 9, and although the run of play was with Wilson in both the afteroon matches, Wilson’s performance proved him right in the top flight of New Zealand skips. Wilson previously won the rinks title at Dunedin four years ago, and Munn played second to R. Haworth in the Canterbury rink which won last year. Results: — QUARTER-FINALS. D. McCormick, H .S.
