The “Daily Telegraph”-says that one of the . largest sunspots observed since 1875, when the records were begun at Greenwich Observatory. is clearly visible in London to the naked, eye, on the upper right-hand of the orb, as an elongated dark patch. The area is estimated at 3,500,000,000 square miles. It is believed that recent difficulties in Empire broadcasts, especially to Canada, were due to it.
