PERSONAL.

The Rev. Angus Mcßean and Mrs McKean will leave Ashburton on Saturday for a holiday of a week at Akaroa.

Messrs J. B. Nicoll and H. G. Kemp represented the Ashburton Acclimatisation Society at the meeting of the Council of the South Island Acclimatisation Society in Christchurch to-day.

Mr W. Macliin .(general manager of the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association) was in Ashburton today, when he visited the local branch of the firm.

Audrey W. Chambers, of the Ashburton High School, 1420, passed with credit the University Entrance Scholarship examination (says a Press Association telegram from Wellington).
