ENTERTAINMENTS.
ST. JAMES THEATRE. Patrons will have their last chance this evening of seeing a remarkably entertaining programme, headed by ‘TOO Men and a Gm” (Deanna Durbin) at the St. James Theatre this evening. It has attracted a good deal of notice since Saturday. A double feature programme will be shown to-morrow night and on Friday. At the matinee on the latter date the third, section of the juvenile mouth organ competition will be held. This is for boys under 10 and the four finalists will'be heard during the evening session. . “The Gentleman from Louisiana,, featuring Eddie Quillan, heads the picture programme. It is a story of Tod Mason, an unknown jockey with a. new techniuqe in riding, who, although scorned by fellow jockeys, rides an old crock for “Deacon Devlin”—and wins! Tod continues with his strange tactics and goes on to great success. Then a girl comes into the picture and the story goes on through thrills of the race track to a satisfactory climax. The second film is “The Wildcatter,” a tale of the trials of those who bore for oil.
