POST-SECTION PLAY RESULTS

Cooler, hut still pleasant conditions prevailed this morning when post-ses-sion play in rinks bowling championships began on two greens. There were close games between Ferguson and Hosking, Nelson, and McGillivray, and Carswell and Webster. When morning tea adjournment was taken Tyrell (Roslyn) had a lead over Madsen (Opawa) of 27 to one and finished a winner by 32 to 13. In the game Paper (Maitui) and Coombs’ (St. Clair) scores at that stage were 15 to 5 in Coombs’ favour, but on resuming, Paper put on 2*2 points to his opponent’s 5 and won. Bull (Hawera), 21; Huntly (Roslyn) 15. Wilson (Linwood), 23; Thompson (Balmacewan) 12. Webster (Kaituna), 17; Carswell (Taieri), 16. Gilbert (Karon), 22; Edwards (St. Kilda), 16. Kaituna Green. Long worth (St. Kilda), 18; Gagliardi (Edgeware), 15. Tyrrell (Roslyn), 32; Madsen (Opawa) 13. . Aicheson (Caledonian), 26; Marks (Christchurch), 18. Ferguson (Balmacewan), Hosking (Grey Lynn) 19.
