Wing-Commander Hbdsll (InspectorGeneral of the Air Itaid -Precautions Department) told an audience at Leeds that 200,000 volunteers for air rajd precaution work had coin© forward., 4 Many more were needed. Dr. W. C. Bentall- said ’that security against the employment of gas in future wars was directly proportionate to the preparedness for it. The respirators now being made were completely efficient against tear gas, sneezing gas, or choking gas like phosgene, and gave 75 per cent, protection against mustard gas.
