FIVE MORE IN NEW ZEALAND. ANNUAL CHAIN OF LIGHT. OBSERVANCE ON DECEMBER 12. (United Presß Association —Copyright.) (Received This Day, 1.45 p.m.) LONDON, November 30. Five new Australian and five New Zealand Toe H lamps will be lighted by Viscount Halifax, on behalf of the King, at the annual festival at York on December 11. They will include Christchurch North, Wellington South, Invercargill, Timaru and New Plymouth lamps. Dr. Bowerbank (chairman of the New Zealand Executive) will bear the Web lington South lamp. The annual world chain of light will begin with the lighting of the Calcutta lamp at 9 p.m. on December 11 (local time). The ceremony will move in a westerly direction and lighting will *tako place at 9 p.m. (local time) on December 12 in all centres in New Zealand and Australia. The Rev. P. T. B. Clayton (founder of Toe H), in a message to New Zealand and Australia, said that the living force of 30,000 Toe H’s is proving that the movement has achieved victory over other forms of memorial. Stone is losing power and influence in the popular imagination.
