PERSONAL.
A motion of sympathy with Mr H. R. McConaehie, a member of the Ashburton County Scottish Society’s council, who accidentally injured himself yesterday, was passed at the Society’s annual meeting yesterday.
The Rev. R. A. Carson, of Addington, a former resident of Ashburton, was yesterday ordained as Priest at a special service conducted at Christchurch Cathedral by Bishop West-Wat-son.
The Timaru Presbytery yesterday accepted the resignation of the Rev E. Llewelyn Williams from the charge of Chalmers Church. Members present expressed deep regret at his departure. Mr Williams will leave Timaru next Wednesday and sail for New York on December 13.
