MIRACLE LANDING.

'PLANE WITH JAMMED GEAR. (United Press Association —Copyright.) LONDON, November 26. Stranded in mid-air with a jammed landing gear a pilot in an Air F'orce 'plane laden with bombs and a crew of three, circled for four hours to exhaust the petrol and reduce the risk of fire and then made a miracle landing at Dorchester, in which he only damaged the propellor and tail wheel. When the pilot discovered his predicament he signalled to the airport by means of smoke. Another ’plane was sent up with an order chalked in big letters on the fuselage, reading: “Drop your bombs; finish your petrol and land at ninety. ’ The bombs were discharged on a nearby bombing range and the other instructions were carried out to the letter.
