SIMPLE SERVICE

LATE MR RAMSAY MacDONALD. burial at birthplace. WORLD-WIDE TRIBUTES. (United Press Association —Copyright.) (Received This Day, 9.5 a.m.) LONDON, November 27. The boyhood friends of Mr James Ramsay MacDonald followed the hearse to the graveside at Spynie, near Lossiemouth, where the ashes.were interred beside Mr MacDonald’s wife. Messrs Alister and Malcolm MacDonald took turns in carrying the urn from the station to “Hillocks,” Mr MacDonald’s former home. Every shop was closed. Hundreds of wreaths, including one from the Japanese Foreign Minister, arrived from all over the world. The Glasgow Orpheus Choir led the singing on the verandah. The Rev. James Paterson, officiating at the service, said the mourners thought of Mr Ramsay MacDonald not as a great statesman, but as one of themselves.
