PREPARING FOR THE ELECTIONS. (Per Press Association.! MASTERTON, November 28. A gathering of several hundreds was addressed by the Leader of the Opposition (the Hon. Adam Hamilton) in the grounds of Longwood, Featherston, on Saturday. Air Hamilton urged the people to unite in defence of democracy against the Labour Government. The speech was warmly applauded and Mr Hamilton was cheered. Mr Hamilton said the election might he in May or June next, or it might not come till November; The people should not be caught napping. Mr C l . H. Weston (Dominion president of the National Party) had previously said that Mr Hamilton intended to have his candidates in the field within the next few months.
