OFFICE ACCEPTED
THE ALL-INDIA CONGRESS.
CONDITIONS STIPULATED. “FIGHT ON ON ALL FRONTS.” (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Hay, 12.15 p.m.) BOMBAY, July 7. A Wardha message states that the working committee of the India. Congress decided to accept office. The resolution stipulates that followers, in 'accepting office, observe the Congress policy of combating the new Act on the one hand and prosecuting a constructive policy on the other.
The formula states that office is to be accepted for the purpose of working in accordance with the lines laid down in the Congress election manifesto. It is expected that the first moves will’he to release prisoners sentenced for revolutionary activities, to restore property confiscated from offenders and to limit the powers of the police. Mr Sati Amurti (deputy-leader of the Congress Party in the Central Legislature) telegraphed to Mahatma Gandhi, who drafted the resolution: “The fight is now on, on all fronts.”
