WOMAN DIES AT CHRISTCHURCH.
(Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 2
A woman, aged 38, from the suburb of Somcrfield, died in the Public Hospital late last night from infantile paralysis. She was admitted earlier in the evening with a paralytic fever. An earlier case occurred in the same household, but the patient is making good progress.
A child of two and a-half has been admitted to the hospital as a suspect. Two cases admitted on Friday have been diagnosed at negative.
TWO SUSPECTS AT WELLINGTON. WELLINGTON, May 1. Two suspected cases of infantile paralysis were admitted to hospital today. One is a girl aged eight from Plimmerton, and the other a girl aged 10-J from the city.
TWO MILD INFECTIONS.
NEW PLYMOUTH, May 2
Two cases of infantile paralysis, both of a mild nature, were reported at Motui'oa yesterday. Both were three years of age and were effected by weakness in the limbs. The schools in the district will not be closed. A WANGANUI NOTIFICATION. WANGANUT, May 2. Another case of infantile paralysis, the second in Wanganui, was notified on Saturday, tho victim being a boy aged two, from Castlccliff. The case was diagnosed as positive, hut in a mild form.
